computed performance indexes, what the heck?

well for homework due tomorrow i have been asked to explain what computed performance indexes are. now did a quick wiki and google search both providing now results so got me thinking i've been asked something completely wrong.

so turning to you guys in hope that someone will know what it is i am being asked to research. Im not looking for you to explain what it is, just give me the correct name and what it need to look for.

the lesson is 'Computer platforms'

other ones that need explaining, though i have explain most of these, are: FLOPS, Clockspeed, bus architectuer, pipelining, bits, von-neumann architecture, bytes kilobytes etc and MIPS
