Erm, at a computer.
My computer has been randomly shutting itself down over the last few weeks. Generally it has been when i am playing a game or converting a video file.

However the last time it shut itself down i tried starting up again, the computer boots up but no display on the monitor. Just a blinking power button.

I have reset the bios using the jumper and taken out my sound card and Freeview card and still no joy.

Any ideas how i can sort this out?

Thanks for the replys.

I think the mobo is good as the green power LED is on. I have 4 2gig memory sticks, took them out and i tried just the one, still the same.

It definately seems the computer is powering up and booting as it should, just nothing on the monitor.

Never had any grief with the GFX card (8800 GTX) and have never overclocked it.

Turns out it was the monitor!

Was a samsung monitor that iv had about 18 months, i thought they had a reputation as being extremely rock solid. The randon crashes completely through me as i thought a component was dodgy. My windows install is messy so im gonna do a re-format and see if that sorts out the crashes.

Thanks for the help.
