I'm looking to build a new computer fairly soon this winter and have a few ideas on what I want but I could still use some advise on if all of the parts will work well together and won't bottleneck anywhere. I have no set budget as of now but it will be the case the if I can source then from the cheapest place then I can put more money towards the better parts.
CPU: Intel Core i7-980X Extreme Edition. May consider waiting until the 990x because it will be same price or stick with 980x because it may drop in price.
Motherboard: EVGA 141-GT-E770-A1 X58. Nice Looking MB with SATA 6GB and USB 3.0
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR 12GB (6 x 2GB) or (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 with CORSAIR AirFlow Pro LED Display. Not sure which is better the 6x2GB or 3x4GB and haven't a clue about the timings, all I know is I want 12GB or DDR3 1600 RAM that is the standard for my MB.
Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 800D. Nice case, always admired it from when I first saw it.
Fan Controller: NZXT SEN-001LX Sentry LX Aluminum dual bay fan controller.
PSU CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-1000HX 1000W.
Video Card: XFX Radeon HD 5870 2GB in Crossfire or I might wait until AMD release of the 6950/6970/6990 to see how much they cost and what impact they will have on the prices of the 5970's and 5870's and if they will be cheaper.
Hard drives: Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive. Was recommended this by a friend and it will also fill the SATA 6GB slot on the MB.
SSD: Well this is something that I'm unsure if I should get or not because they are quite expensive but I was think of getting one for the OS and to take the remaining SATA 6GB slot on the MB.
Optical Drive: LG Black 10X Blue-ray Drive.
Keyboard: Logitech G19
Mouse: Logitech G9x
Webcam: Logitech C910
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
Cooling: This is probably where I will need the most help with, I'm quite fixed on getting one of those nice EK Spin 5.25" Dive bays as my res but I would like some advise and recommendations on Rads, Pumps, Blocks, Coolant and what size/type tubing is the best and also what other fittings or connections that I need.
I'm sure there's probably other stuff that I didn't mention so please feel fee to mention in your reply.
My preference would be to get the bulk of the parts in 2 or less places if one does not stock so to cut down in shipping to Ireland and a supplier that rewards customers to large orders like mine.
Anyways, I hope theres someone on here that will be able to put me on the right track and help me decide what to get.
