Afternoon all

I have been looking at getting a new PC for a while now and could never make my mind up on what to get, I got some suggestions from you guys last month but still didnt take the plunge and hit order! but I really need to now.

I was looking at the pre-built overclocked systems and I like the dreadnaught and some others but I can also get the one below from a local place.

Can you tell me if this is a good deal and what I should remove or should add.

Will the cooling fan be enough for this system? I've never had an overclocked computer before so im not sure if it would overheat and I dont really know anything about watercooling? .

Is that a good deal and will it be able to keep up with any new games.

Suggestions are welcome!

Thanks

Looks very good.

The Titan Fenrir is a great cooler, but if you are spending that much I would suggest ahving a look at the Megahalems and a pair of good/quiet 120mm fans (you will also need an additional fan clip set).

If you want to save some money, you could go for the i7 920 and this motherboard. If you are overclocking to 4GHz, you will see no difference in performance compared to the above system - though you won't get USB3/SATA6G.

Out of interest, what brand is the 5870. IMHO ASUS is the one to have as it has a longer warranty than others (3 years) and the BIOS is made for overclocking.

Also, do you need a Blu-Ray rewriter drive?

i thought i would add up the same\similar parts from ocuk to see how much i would cost= £1838.68 with delivery

considering yours is prebuilt its not a bad price

im not sure what brand it is.

I want a bluray drive as im gonna be getting an hd monitor so i can watch blurays etc on it.

the computer comes with 2 years maintenance aswell so if it costs the same on here making it myself i think it would be best to just buy it prebuilt.

the other question i have that i cant remember if it was answered the last time is - is 2x smaller ssds(not raid) better than 1x larger one? as in if i put the OS and storage stuff on one and then programms and games etc on the other would there be a performance boost or would it just run the same as if everything was on the same drive?

Also do you think this pc will make much noise?

I also liked the Antec 900 gaming case as i think it has an extra fan in it, is that a good case or should i stick with the haf 922?

I think i head that those SSD's perform best if you leave some free space. Not sure whether this is lifetime or speed, anyone back me up?

But i would either go the whole way and buy a 256gb+ one, or just the 80gb for os and most used programs and HDD for data, but thats just me :)
