Anyone know how to add computer code to a Word doc whilst still retaining the spacing, the colour coding etc

Similar to the example below where the user has added the code and their own comments in green.

When I copy and paste, my code is all black. Googling tells me to "insert object" into Word - same result. Screenshot is clumsy...........

Any ideas?

Isn't this just a matter of pasting it in and then changing it all to a non proportional font such as Courier New?

You might also want to remove all existing formatting. So I would copy/paste to notepad first to remove formatting. Then copy/paste to word and changing to Courier New.

This is what I've always done
