My CPU temps seems to be 8-12c on idle, is this too cold and can it be dangerous, as i've never heard anyone have it this cold, and my fan isn't the greatest either! lol

even on full load it's only 30c which is amazing really.

cpu is fx6300

As far as I know AMD CPUs do not have temp sensors in the cores, hence temp reporting programs usually have to "calculate" what the temperature is. What you really want to look at, is one of the TPIN temp in HWMonitor, as that should be closer to the actual CPU temp.

This is for TPIN0/1 (dependant on board) right? If so yes, that looks more realistic. Stress the CPU out and see what it peaks to.

Yes it is TPIN and the mobo is ASRock 990FX Extreme3

by stressing, do you mean intensive tasks like video rendering in ae and aa games titles in ultra. If so is there a way of logging temps whilst doing these activities?

Video rendering would demand more from your CPU.

A useful mini stresstest tool is "wPrime".. Use Hwmonitor to see temps whilst doing so (it will record avg/min/max)

You could also use OCCT. It has a handy feature which records various pieces of data whilst it's stress-testing then at the end outputs all that data into handy graphs.
