Hi all,

I've posted before about this but recently its got out of hand.

I use the computer mainly for fs2004 and fsx and some 3d's max stuff but the computer is constantly freezing (cant ctrl-alt-del or anything and have to use the re-start button on the computer)

Here is the speck:

Intel Quadcore Q9550 2.83GHz Processor
XFX 750iSLi Motherboard
6 Gig DDR2 800MHZ RAM
Seagate 300Gig SATA Hatd Drive
Nvidia Geforce GTX 280 (1 Gig DDR3) Grafix Card
Antec 900 Ultimate Gamers Case
22X DVD Rewriter
Windows 7 Home Premium (Genuine)
Logitech Wireless Keyboard and Mouse
650W PSU

Any help would be appreciated as I cant now do any work on the computer.

I've checked the temps on both cpu and gpu and they all seem fine with max temp on the gtx280 only around 52.

Do you think that the psu is not powerful enough at 650w? The computer is almost unusable now except for internet browsing.!!

Thanks

Terry

Thanks for reply.The psu is:

High Power Plus 650W

Model: Hp-650-G14C

Here is a screenshot of the task manager, looks pretty normal:

I have not overclocked anything and here is a pic of temps which again seem fine:

Sorry for my lack of knowledge on the area but how do I clear cmos?

Couldn't get memtest to boot but I ran the Win 7 memory test and it was fine

Cheers

Thanks lads for the replies. I will first try removing the memory stick and see how things go. I agree with the psu, I think that 650w is a bit small, any suggestions for a decent psu that would safeguard me for the future? A compelte noob at these sort of things, just need the computer to be working without freezing.! Hopefully I can get this sorted as the longer the computer is not working the less money I can earn! I need it for this: www.eiresim.com

Just thought I'd update the thread.

By chance I changed the drivers on the gtx280 to old ones (almost 2 years old) and the computer has stopped freezing. It's like a new computer. Delighted but I just bought a new psu and it's still in the box, might try sell it. I thought it was the psu that was the problem
