Computer crash after 1 hour

Hi there i built my pc about a year ago only just got to now to try and fix this problem, basically when i leave my computer alone for a hour dwnloading etc and come back. the screen is black i cant wake it up by pressing esc etc only way to get back to normal is to turn my pc on and off any advice guys on how to fix this

Is it a Z87 or Z97 board?

Z87 msi gaming

Actually not sure. Its the msi gaming one for intel i7 4770k

Its one of those chipsets.

Can you go to advanced power options and set up the display/HDD/everything etc to never ever sleep.

Set max performance/power.

Then see if it crashes after an hour. It shouldnt do and I bet your issue is a known sleep+wake issue.

How would i set up the hdd never to slp. What else shall i check apart from display

Before you mess around with this.

Can you go into the BIOS and disable S3.

Then try leaving it for an hr and seeing if it wakes up.

My bios i need to press del to enter i dont have a del button on my kboard. How would i acess it

Without a DEL key I actually dont know, does the board happen to have a "direct to BIOS button" like some overcloking boards do.

Its your board, have a look through the manual, but not all boards have it, its an "overclocking" feature found on some of the better overclocking boards.

Without a DEL key I really dont know what to suggest, do you have a keyboard with a DEL key?

Hammer every key on boot up then.

Just use your palms and elbows to press everything at once.

I have no answer then, if you cant get into the BIOS then you will have to try and stop the PC from ever going to sleep via the power options.

Yeh pressing the delete button is the only way to get into BIOS, get a cheapo keyboard with one. sorted lol

Im lost, what keyboard do you have? do you have to press some sort of function key to get DEL?
