Welll, was all fine today - went for dinner came back it had just froze. I restarted my PC thinking nothing of it. However it will boot fine, it will even allow me to enter my password but after that it just freezes and shows the following blue screen then cuts off.

Any ideas? :D

Tried so far:

-Took overclock off instantly when it blue screened
-System restore through safe mode
-Gone into MSConfig to make drivers go back to default
-Taken RAM out and tried each individually to see if the problem was there

Just to add, I have tried going into safe mode. It did go into safe mode so I did a system restore however it still gives the same blue screen after trying to log in normally.

Have tried removing your overclock, also download mem test which makes a bootable disc and run at startup and see if finds any problems with your ram.

As above, first thing to do is remove your OC.
installed anything recently? (hardware or software)
Updated any drivers recently?
its worth running memtest to rule out memory being an issue (often is with this error), and also doing a chkdsk /r from windows recovery console to rule out bad sectors on your hdd, and that being the reason for corrupt drivers or w/e it is.

One program which I have recently installed is lightroom.. tried to reinstall it but cat seem to find it however when doing a virus scan in safe mode I saw it in lightroom directories so a bit confused there.. :s

Anyway I updated my first post with stuff that I've tried!

Mine did the exact same thing the other day, you wernt installing the windows updates were you, cos thats what i was doing when it did it.
