Hi all

I'm having problems with my pc it keeps crashing randomly during games and sometimes at desktop or the pc boots but really slowly and runs slow followed by a crash.
The restart and power button no longer functions after the crash but lights remain on the mobo and GPU but no signal on the screen and the only way to turn it off is to pull the plug.
I tried a few games and it crashed regardless apart from Roblox with the kids seems to run fine??
My spec
Ryzen 9 5900x
Asus crosshair VIII dark hero
4x8gb 3600 Corsair dominator ram
Asus strix 3090 oc
2x Samsung m.2 1gb SSD
Corsair ax1200i
Latest bios 3904

I tried different PSU and cables with no luck
Different ram with no luck
Different gpu with no luck
The mobo was sent back to oc as Asus assured me it was mobo issue but tests come back that mobo is fine.
It started on windows 10 so I did a clean install of Windows 11 with no luck.
I ran a 3d mark bench test of the CPU and that passed ok. I did memtests on the ram and that passed fine.
Everything has run fine for almost a year with no problems and it's all watercooled and running stock speeds and voltages bar the ram which is at 3600mhz but even when set to default I still have the same problem.

I'm not sure what else I can possibly do because what ever I do it seems to crash still, my last thought is it has to be the CPU as everything else I have changed to test and I still get the crashes and possibly it's only until the CPU is under heavy load while gaming it always crashes. It's not temps all temps are good and my watercooling setup is overkill as it's built in a desk.
I'm completely stumped, I've just contacted amd to see what they think about it being the CPU but ovs this time of year movement is slow ect so I'm looking for any advice or things I can check to see if I can find the culprit, even if I can't fix the problem myself I would just like to know what it is so I can actually sort it as all my hardware apart from the PSU is within the first year of warranty.

Hope someone can help
Cheers

Did you try with two DIMMs?
And was that second GPU different model?

One NVMe would be another thing.

And don't Event viewer and reliability history show anything time marked around crashes, or when PC works slowly?

I tried 2 dims and swapped them around and then put 2x16gb Corsair vengeance ram modules in and in different slots and still the same outcome.

I installed the new install of Windows 11 on the other ssd and still the same issue.

Event viewer just shows the typical kernal power event I'd and says it was shut down unexpectedly.
No bsod or event Id that stands out.
Event 15 and 10016

The second GPU was the same but 3070 model

I just had the same issue, fixed by flashing BIOS Version 3801 instead and then running SFC /scannow in command prompt (with Admin privilages) once back in windows.

It originally started when I was on that bios, I also tried SFC/scannow and it found no errors and I did 2 clean installs and it didn't help any.
I tried one last time to install windows 11 clean again but this time I didn't do any updates or download new drivers ect I just installed steam and 2 games and so far I haven't had any crashes. It's as though it's software related but nothing showed in event viewer or reliability apart from icue.
I did notice last time that icue automaticaly installed on the last windows install and this time no icue and no crash.
Also I've left the ram running on stock speed and not the oc speed it's sold at.
I'm going to test some games for a day and then I will run the ram at 3600mhz and see if it crashes
