Hi today my computer just died.
BSOD showing "page fault in non paged area"? What does this mean?
Will not start in safe mode either.
No hardware changes. Been installing/uninstalling games though. Downloading loads and un compressing loads of files.Tidying up old files etc.
Have been wanting to do a clean install again anyway so tried to boot from disc, same BSOD with large error code.

STOP: 0x0000007E (oxFFFFFFFFC0000005,0xFFFFF8000985E251,0xFFFFF98001AE8428,0xFFFFF98001AE7E00)
Is there any way to find what this means?
Vista Home Premium
Q6000, ASUS P5ne32sli,4gig GSkill, Evga280gtx,sam spinpoint 500gig,creative sound card.
Tried removing sound card, memory 1 at a time. M/c was OC'd but returned to defaults to test.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Brian

Have you tried reinstalling vista with just one stick of memory, apparently 4GB causes bsod's when trying to install. Also if you reset to defaults, perhaps you need to up your memory voltage a bit? My G.Skill is rated 1.8-1.9V but would only be stable on 1.85v (and thats when I just had 2 sticks).

Are you overclocked at all if yes try going back to stock and like pjansell mentions run mem-test on each stick, alternate try each stick individualy.

I have previously done a reinstall with 4gig and it was ok.Might have left voltage high though from OC.
Trying the now with one though just in case.
Looking better the now. Have the windows screen for reinstall.
Will try reinstall as not got too much too lose.
Time to grab a few beers.
Hope this fixes problem.
Know what that page file fault means?
