Computer dead

Was working fine for 3 months or so, but now - Lights and fans come on, but its not booting up at all- what could be wrong?

Ummm... mobo is a p67 pro, power is stealth stream 2, 600w - have a red led flashing on the mobo to the top right btw, just noticed now i have the case open

Just took the mobo out and its melted on the back - the bit right next to the B2 RAM slot!

What do you reckon? Do i need a new mobo, psu and / or case?

Can't see how they did come into contact - all the standoffs were in correctly, no bumps or ridges on that part of the case - RIP computer

Just spoke to OC support re the R12 chip burning out, the lad there said it had happened to one of their prebuilds on a P8P67, exact same place - He is getting it RMA'd for me, so Win \o/

The lad basically said that It would have shorted before it could damage anything else, fingers crossed

He said he had seen it happen 3 times out of several hundred P67s sold, so if it did happen to me again it would be incredibly bad luck

Bump - finally got my RMA'd MoBo, and a new case, tested it all out, put it back together and it's fine- turns out it was just a fault with the p67. All for the best really - my old one wasnt B3 rev anyways so should have returned it anyway
