I have one of these towers: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-067-AN

Not overclocking or anything

Looking to buy a nice computer desk, at the minute it is on the floor with nothing really either side of it, 90% of computer desks have gaps for the towers, now there is cold air coming from the side of the case, (which is obviously good :p) just wondered if putting it into a small confined space is going to have any effect on this??

If not its going to make things a lot easier :D lol

I'd recommend not putting it in a confined space. I've got one in my desk but i put my PC on top of the desk. Reason is that expelled air from the PC just gets trapped in the desk and then gets sucked back into the PC so it could get quite warm

thats pretty much what i thought

will have another trawel through hundreds of sites to find a nice desk with room for it to go on the floor :p

Hi, I got mine in that type of desk and to be honest, I noticed only a 1 - 2 degree change in temps and no difference in fan speed. So, it won't make a drastic difference and I got a fan exhausting out the side and back, but the back is clear.

If your desk is like Acharris then it should be fine. Just make sure the table doesn't block the exhaust, and just monitor the temps. I like to keep my unit away from the floor just to avoid sucking up all the dust :p
