Computer Desks. What do you use

I bought the 2m Ikea desk top,3 legs and a cubby hole legs to put the PC tower in

works wonderfully, brother has since moved house and done the same

Would one of those giant mouse pads OCUK sell not do a better job? Could also act as sound deadening between your wheel and the desk too.

probably not to much tbh the desk is like a drum from being one piece of wood on a metal frame lol...

some times I wonder if my downstairs neighbours can hear the elephants walking as I type and this ain't even a mechanical keyboard

I use an Ikea Jerker, don't think they do them any more but I'd recommend any from there based on it, the quality is fantastic.

I've got a very old school desk with drawers each side, its big, heavy and solid.

like this one....http://www.antiques-atlas.com/antique/1940s_golden_oak_desk_with_green_leather/as119a1511

got it from a old bloke from gumtree for £20 and he even delivered it as well :)

going to tart it up a bit later on,not sure what to do with it yet to make it look modern.

That looks really nice.

I got one of these but I never paid the price stated!

It's not hard to build your own - couple of off cuts of kitchen worktops, few lengths of stainless tubing:-

Current desk is an old MFI thing or similar. Comfy enough but wish I had more space. Work desk is probably 800mm deep, pair of screens on arms so they don't take up desk space. Then still enough space for a laptop, poer supply, oscilloscope and circuit board! I like having lots of desk space.
