Hi guys =)
OK my Athlon 3500+ has finally given up the ghost..it kept freezing up for no reason even while booting up and now finally no video signal is being output at all. I have tried swapping the vid card and stil nothing. I think the power supply is ok (450OZC)
Tried swapping about the RAM but nothing. And unplugging hard disks etc. ..anyway - What should I buy? =) I currently have a 6800GT which I'm happy with keeping until the dx10 cards..but I guess I'll need a Processor/Ram/mobo. I'm reasonably happy overclocking.
Please spec me parts I play a lot of games so want something pretty quick though I never buy the very fastest available due to the extra price - so I'm guessing a 6400 Conroe would be best? What cooler would be nice and quiet but allow me decent Overclocking?
What RAM would do the job but allow overclocking? What mobo would you recommend?!
Any input very much appreciated - will be ordering tonight! (Can't stand being without a decent computer
Not a specific limit on price but not looking to spend 1000+ ..want decent performance

EDIT: Gah - just remembered my Video card is AGP too - guess I'll have to get a new one after all (please recommend) ..I've always gone with nvidia in the past but if there is a significant increase in performance I'd consider Ati.
