Right now my friend has decided he doesn't want a laptop and that he would like a desktop, and to my disgust he has been looking at dells. Anyway, I checked out the deal they were offering him and it was surprisingly good.

So I have made a spec that will beat it, but I need to get it within 500 quid (or close to), and to do this, I need a nice matx case that comes with a psu.

Now I would like to know if the 300W psu in the Antec NSK 1300 will run the following.

Asus DRW-1814BLT 18x18 DVD±RW Serial ATA Dual Layer Lightscribe ReWriter

Gigabyte GA G33M-S2 Micro ATX (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

Intel Xeon 3200 Series X3210 "LGA775 Kentsfield" 2.13GHz (1066FSB) - Retail

OcUK 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-5300C5 667MHz DDR2 Dual Channel Vista Approved Kit

Hitachi Deskstar T7K500 NCQ 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM

Thanks for any advice you can offer guys.

Awsome thanks guys, and no, no discrete graphics card for now, the idea of the system is basically longevity hence the quad core. Thanks guys.

Seems good to me :)

Off topic, but did anyone else think funeral for a friend when they
