computer for rendering and modellling

hi guys mainly for any one with this system or similar system

"Ultima Viper" Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz @ 4.00GHz DDR3 System

all the reviews are for gaming and as much as i like to game i really want to know how it handels modelling software like maya/ ligthwave and post production software like cs5 after effects etc. and in maya and lightwave can it handel heavy rendering.

i like this system as its within budget being a poorly student and all.

thanks guys for the help, i like the 12gig idea. not big on the building my own system i like the idea of someone esle building it. thats why i like overclockers. lol
