Computer Freezes after Start Up Then Returns to Normal?

Every time I've started up my computer for the past 3 weeks I get a small 2 minute window of activity then everything freezes and after half a minute returns to normal activity.

Does anybody know what this could be?

Ahh.. I think it is the amount of tasks running at start-up!
