computer freezes and restarts itself

as it says in the title new build and restarts it self with no warning!!!

Specs of machine?

Remove any overclocks, reset BIOS, try single RAM stick at a time...

Anything that triggers a restart?

Are you getting a BSOD? Have you checked in the event viewer to see if there are any entries?

Your computer specs please, and at what point in startup exactly does it restart? After Windows Logon, during, after POST. Need more information.

samsung blu ray/dvd writer
500 gb seagate hd

it restarts when it first starts up and when i put in a blu ray dvd. i have built it myself.
i have tried cmos reset and uping voltage or ram.

have you checked the event viewer for errors?

Disconnect the blu ray drive and see if the initial reboot stops

Something seems a little but unstable in your system then.
Can you logon to windows without it restarting first? Check the event viewer for BSOD like said.

If you can also run CPU-Z and post a screenshot. If you can't get into Windows, recheck your BIOS settings.
Disconnect Blu-Ray drive and/or other peripherals to see if it stops, attempt a process of elimination.

Have you applied any overclock? Check that the bclk is set at 100 (and not auto).
