Computer Freezes randomly

Im not sure if this is the right section to post this, so mods please move as necessary, but I wanted to discuss one of the issues with this PC is ordered from Overclockers last year and a problem Ive been having.

Basically while browsing on the internet or just doing something on the PC it freezes randomly. The mouse stops and the screen becomes unrespsonsive, I have to restart or turn it off via power buttons. It does this on average about once every 2 days, which is very annoying while your in the middle of something important and then it suddenly becomes unresponsive.

Please ask questions so you can help me sort out this problem. Im not exactly a genius with computers so forgive me.

I'd check hard drives against bad blocks first (chkdsk /b), and then memory (memtest) and PSU (just by swap to another one).

Do you have the specification for this computer?

Maybe its worth completing all the test as stated above (Bad sectors, Memtest and PSU)

But also it might be worth just doing some general cleaning of the case, checking for dust.

Also try a virus/malware/spyware scan, keep a close eye on your CPU temps and usage.
