Computer Freezing - Abit of help needed!

Probably totally the wrong forum (sorry. ) but my computer keeps freezing not allowing me to do anything (not even ctrl-alt-dlt), it is still running music and programs in the background though so I suppose it's not totally borked.

Is there a likely cause of this? Does anyone know of any websites that suggest ways to fix these kind of problems?

I usually get around 10 - 15 minutes of the computer before it crashes.

first thing that comes to mind is memory

if you have 2 sticks, try taking 1 out, swapping it round etc etc

Is it a good idea to hoover a computer? Or are there better ways of getting rid of dust? Could that be having an impact on performance? /slightofftopic

Some of the connections were loose aswell.
