Computer Freezing and Sound Loop Issue

Hi,

Ive got a strange problem with computer freezing (cant ctrl+alt+delete or move my mouse) with no BSOD and the sound loops until I hit reset.

It happens at any time even when just browsing online or afk but seems to occur most frequently when gaming (BF4).

I thought perhaps my hard drive was dying or Windows 7 files had been corrupted, but a few days ago I bought a new SSD (Samsung 840 Pro 512GB) and installed Windows 8.1 and the problem still remains. So then I thought it could be the memory, but left MemTest86 running for about 4 hours and found no errors. Heres a list of things Ive tried:

- Ran Prime95 and Unigine Heaven Benchmark simultaneously for over an hour to fully stress my system and had no crashes.
- Tried different graphics drivers
- Ran MemTest86 and found no errors
- New SSD and new Windows install, still happens
- Updated SSD firmware
- Checked computer temps

I did buy another SSD (Crucial M500 960GB) about a month ago as a secondary drive which is around when I first recall the problem happening, but I think thats probably just coincidental as I cant see how it would effect it. It could be a driver issue perhaps? Any other ideas?

Thanks for the reply. Nope no BSOD. Just literally freezes and cant do anything apart from reset!

I bought my system as an overclocked bundle and has been fine for the past 3 years. I havent changed any settings or updated the BIOS so in theory that shouldnt be the issue right?

Also Ive run MemTest for 4 hours and found no errors. If there was an issue with memory voltage wouldnt it have been picked up by that?

Thanks for the reply. Ok my BIOS version is 0501 dated 05/09/2011 so yeh pretty out of date! I thought it was best not to touch anything since it was all overclocked and set up.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but how do I save the OC settings so they wont get wiped? They are saved under profiles but is that permanent?

Also my VCCIO voltage is at 1.25000v.
