Computer freezing whilst gaming

So last thursday my pc froze solid whilst 12 boxing on Everquest. Since then, it seems to freeze 20-60 mins into playing Everquest and Darksiders 2, but it has YET to crash whilst playing CoD: Ghosts.

All of my temperatures are brilliant, Cpu sits around 45 and GPU is at between 45-60 depending which of the 3 games I am playing. I hadn't installed or changed anything last thursday when it started and had NO issues whatsoever previously to that, since I have built the rig (mid December).

Build as is in the sig. The CPU is sitting at 3.7GHz but has been clocked since 30 December.

I initially suspected ram as it is at 50% usage whilst playing EQ, but CoD never crashed and it runs around 30% usage (Only got DS2 last night) so I removed all 4 sticks 1 by 1 and moved them around to see if 1 of the stick may be faulty but alas, they are all functioning as it crashes no matter which I use.

So, I am literally clueless as to what could be causing it, I guess possibly SSD? But any SSD issues I have had before have been BSoD usually not a complete freeze requiring a hard reboot. Help :(

First thing I would do is run everything at stock and see if it still does it. Even potentially underclocking the GPU to rule that out etc.

lol 12 box EQ? damn man, i always got confused dual boxing EQ haha, hats off to you for that, which server do you play on out of interest? :)

I had a similar thing with my PC recently freezing intermittently, i turned off the Intel Rapid Storage stuff and it seemed to stop it.

Heh it's on a private server, I use MQ2 to handle it :) Had 20 running the other day and a guildy runs 30.

I'll give that a try too as I have that enabled. EDIT: Silly question, how does one disable the rapid storage... just uninstall it?

lol your mental, i should load up EQ again now its f2p, i think i have a fairly recent expansion too, the one after that Alaris place i think?

Yeah i uninstalled it to get rid of it

One after Alaris is Rain of Fear I think, not sure I don't keep up to date with live now!

Seems it hasn't crashed since uninstalling IRST... we'll see though.

Ok so the computer is still crashing. It's not my RAM, I've deduced that.

However, I left the computer when it was frozen rather than resetting it and it actually unfroze itself a few minutes later. I've left it every time since and it has unfrozen itself.

From here, I have no idea what to suspect as being faulty... I've done some research and found that it could be PSU or even motherboard. Does anyone have any ideas of things that I could try? I don't have access to spares aside from a mechanical HDD with a ghost of my current SSD to prove it's not SSD, but it's horribly slow...
