Right OCuk have checked my GFX cardto find no problems with it. Now i have put it back in my system and started crysis and after 10 mins of playing, the system crashes and i have to turn it off by the switch. I have ran the memtest which comes with vista and this showed no problems with the RAM. I still need to run the memtest86 program and see if this brings anything up.

SPEC follows:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 "Yorkfield" 2.83ghz
Asus P5Q-E Intel P45
OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 800MHz SLI-Ready Edition Low Latency
Gainward ATI Radeon HD 4870 "Golden Sample" 512MB GDDR5

Can anyone help with the problem. Is the memory i'm using compatible with the following spec or would it be wise to upgrade/change it?

I'm getting desperate now so help is greatly needed.

Thanks in advance

Matt

what are your ram voltages like?

what is your cpu voltage?

cpu temps?

is the heatsink correctly installed

Unsure i can find out tomoz as im not at the computer at the moment. Will i be fine to use CPU-Z to find these?

What heatsink?

I have already reinstalled the CPU cooler once. I'll post these up tomorrow.

Cheers Jak i'll keep you posted.

when it crashes does it remain a still screen?

Look in your BIOS for the memory timings and voltage going into it.

Yes the screen remains still and so does the sound if you no what i mean.

I will get a screenshot/picture of the BIOS showing the timings and voltages and post as much info up as i can.

How do i get the Memory Voltages please?

The system now crashed with just internet browser running. But went to the BSOD and shut down.

I think you need to set the "AI Overclock Tuner" to "manual" and it should give you more options. Although even though I have a similar mobo I cant remember which setting does what, I tend to just change a few options on a trial and error basis (returning back to default setting if it wasn't what I was looking for).
