Computer game music - found a remix, what game is it from?

I found a remix, it's a great tune, but the main melody immediately reminded me of an old computer game, but I'm not sure which one! It's doing my head in!

The guy who made the remix (Milanese) posted the song up for free on his website: http://www.mr-ion.com/

Go to "download" then listen to the song called "Magical Flying Hat" - I would post a direct link but it's all done in flash plus hotlinking is bad mmkay...

(mods if you want to move this to music, feel free, I just thought more gamers would be in GD than music)

I would guess it's from Magical Flying Hat Turbo Adventure.

Known as Decap Attack over here, fairly sure they changed the music for that bastardization though.

I tried looking on youtube and there are no clips of it on there, perhaps the same music was used in an Amiga Megademo or something similar...

I guess there's a resemblance... but it's definitely not the same.
