Hi all, PC has been winding me up recently.
For a few months now it has been stuttering intermittently, freezing completely when opening resource intensive applications (eventually unfreezing and opening the application) - Occasionally it is unusable until I re-boot several times. On initial boot I may not be able to even open the start menu or task manager to see what is going on.
Possibly unrelated but web-pages are also slow to load at times in any browser, despite my connection being stable.
Memtest comes back clean
CPU passes any stress test I throw at it without issue
Diskmarks/health checks all come back fine
I have re-installed Windows
Temps all seem fine
Usage percentages seem fine with nothing obvious spiking up when things grind to a halt
It seems fine at the moment, but tomorrow, or maybe the next day, it will start doing it again...
Spec:
i7 2700K @ 4.7GHz (was previously 5GHz stable for a couple of years, backed it off a bit and same issue)
16GB (4x 4GB) Corsair Vengeance PC3-12800U DDR3
Asus P8Z68-V Pro
2x Sapphire R9 390 8GB
XFX Pro 750W Silver (Seasonic internals)
Samsung 830 256GB (OS + apps - has 80GB+ free space)
Samsung Spinpoint 1TB (Games)
WD Caviar Green 2TB (Media etc)
Xonar Essence STX
Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
If anyone has a brainwave let me know...
TIA
