Hi

Basically, my computer has started messing up. I restarted my computer about 10 mins ago, and I noticed that the Windows XP loading screen lagged when it was coming onto the screen (when it usually comes on straight away) and it the blue bar (the one that scrolls across when the OS is loading up) scrolled across like 9 or 10 times when it usually on scrolls across like 5 or 6 times. Then, I reset all my system settings cos I thought it might have something to do with an overclock so reverted back to original settings, that didn't do it. So then I restarted again and there was a loud noise coming from inside the computer, from what seemed like the hard drive but then I went into BIOS and changed some temperature alert settings and it the sound stopped. The thing is, I have checked all of the component temps and they don't look bad, they just look like normal temperatures. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Is one of my hard drives failing or something?

Thanks for your help.

Edit: I've just tried overclocking again and now it doesn't seem to want to let me OC the CPU. I tried OC'ing it, and I save the settings but when my comp restarts it just lets out a loud beep for like 5 seconds, does the same beep again for like 2 or 3 seconds and then comes up saying the computer has opened in safe mode and something about "Please reset CMOS settings in BIOS" or something along those lines.
