Hey OC'ers,
About a year ago my younger brother bought a computer for £800. At the time it was top spec ect ect.

The only problem is, is that he's having issues.

Sometimes his Sound stops working, then the mouse and keyboard becomes unresponsive and the computer ends up freezing all together requiring a restart.

Could this be the RAM or CPU?

It doesn't sound hardware related to me more like a typical case for some basic housekeeping.

Firstly, download and install Ccleaner.

Tick all the clean up boxes and click on "Run Cleaner".

Next, uninstall any programs you don't need. You can do this from Control Panel or Ccleaner.

Again using Ccleaner, look at the Startup items. Google each entry and disable anything that you think you don't need. These are items that eat up resources that you possibly don't need. Don't disable your Anti-Virus Software though.. This normally makes a big difference..

Lastly, "Run Cleaner" again..

See if that makes a difference.
