Computer keeps crashing

OK, so I've done what was recommended and turned on the XMP profile and removed the RAM that was throwing errors using memtest+ but the computer still randomly freezes when browsing the web or watching flash videos.

Also now every now and again when booting up the machine the BIOS displays a screen saying overclocking has failed. This only happens when the XMP profile is loaded. I have tried to fix the issue by loading the standard settings in the BIOS and then just enabling the XMP profile and changing nothing else but the problems persist.

I'm at a complete loss as to what to do to fix the recurring problems. I would be very happy to hear if anyone else has any further suggestions to fix these problems :).

Have you tried the card in another slot, will rule otu a faulty Gpu slot. Also check your PCI-E settings in the bios.
Do you have a friend, family member or neighbour with a pc, so you can test your card on. If so and it work ok, then you will know it`s not the card.

try bump the voltage if you have instability issues (1.5V, 1.55V, 1.60V, 1.65V max). If you still have memtest errors, RMA the sticks. YOU can try them two by tow or one by one to isolate the faulty stick.

Any luck so far?

So far it seems to working OK. Thank you for your help. My system became much more stable after I upgraded to the latest AMD graphics card drivers. I'll do some stress testing to see if any problems show up over the next couple of days.

Thank you again for your help :).

Also if memory amount is changing would check to make sure the CPU is seated correctly and you have not bent any of the pins.

Would agree with this and double check. Was putting a CPU into the socket and dropped the CPU, just slipped out my fingers.

Bent a load of pins. Moved them back as best as I could but would only boot detecting 2gb of RAM, tried a bit more and finally got it detecting 4gb out of 6gb which was better than nothing and could limp by until i could afford another board.

Annoyingly wasn't a cheap mistake and still makes me nervous each time I put a CPU in! Board was a P6T6 WS Evolution with full MIPS blocks so something I won't be doing again!
