I've just built a new rig for a friend, everything has installed fine, windows runs fine but I just keep getting random freezes every now and then, I'm clueless to what is causing it?

OCZ Gold 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Low-Voltage Dual Channel (OCZ3G1333LV4GK)
Logitech Illuminated Keyboard (920-001165)
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (ST3500418AS)
Pioneer DVR-S18L 22x DVD±RW SATA Labelflash ReWriter - Black (Retail)
TP-Link 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Adapter (TL-WN851N)
Akasa Internal Media Card Reader (AK-ICR-07)
Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H Intel H55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 microATX Motherboard
Intel Core i3 530 2.93GHz (Clarkdale) (Socket LGA1156) - Retail
23 Dell P2311H LED
SStone 450W Strider ST45SF
1 SST SUGO SG02B-F SFF BLK GLOSS

The only thing I can think of is the memory? I will run memtest soon to check that.

Also everything is at stock/auto in the bios apart from the memory voltage which is set to 1.64v.

So you have set the timings and voltage for the RAM manually? What sort of PSU is running the system?

SStone 450W Strider ST45SF is the PSU and I haven't set the timings as they are set correctly already, this is very annoying!

when you say randomly is it ok if just sitting in windows doing nothing, but shuts down randomly once it starts doing anything?

I thought it was from intense processes like encoding and compressing zips but I just left it idle and it froze again while the screensaver was on.

I've just formatted again as I have tried everything I can think of, also going to update the bios as its on F9 and F11 says "improved memory capability"

Any other suggestions greatly appreciated.

Ok it seems its the Intel HD Graphics driver, that just locks up the pc and I have to force a restart...

I have also disabled Aero but no help...

What now, buy a graphics card?
