Hello. This is my first post here so I am sorry if there are any mistakes. (System specs will be listed at the end).

I recently got a computer I am currently upgrading but it likes to freeze while playing games and rarely at other places (browsing internet ect.) I figured the easiest solution would be to reformat my HDD because the operating system might be corrupt but did not solve the issue.

My next theory is its my RAM because I have different makes and timings. I know this is back and can cause a lot of issues. I will be getting new RAM hopefully sometime next week. I also ran Memtest86 and my three one GB sticks are in complete working order, no errors.

Next it also could be my Motherboard which has one faulty DIMM slot out of four. I will be planning to upgrade my MOBO in the future.

Also I do not believe overheating is the issue because I can have my computer on all day playing DVD's and no freezing. I am also getting a new case from the standard one I got with it.

I am listing all these problems with my computer because I would like the problem fixed ASAP so I can play some games. I do not have any error codes at this time sorry.

Specs are as follows:

Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit
ASUS M2A VM HDMI
Phoenix - AwareBIOS v6.00PG
AMD Athlon 54 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+
3072 RAM DDR2 800Mhz (Three different makes: OCZ, Corsair and Kingmax)
Sapphire Ultimate HD 4670
Atrix 800W
320GB Sata HDD

I do not know what else to include in the specs. Please ask if you need more information.

PS the parts I have upgraded so far are the PSU, HDD and GPU.
