Hi guys. I have been searching for a few maintenance kits for myself. I just wanted to know what, if any, would be a good kit to go for if you use one. I am just sick of scrounging screwdrivers etc, and I want something that I can use for all my computer needs.

If you can shed some light it would be appreciated!

Nice case, you can pick up cool cases in DIY stores. Supermarkets and TKmax have great small tools.

Precision screwdrivers
Wire stripers
Snips
Scissors
Paint brush
Spare screws, odds and sods from builds in clear fishing tackle type boxes
Cable ties
insulation tape
PSU tester
Torch
Thermal paste
Explosives - joking

Keeping this stuff for PC's only means it's spotlessly clean (unlike the tools for general use and the car).

My PC building kit which i got given for xmas over 8 years ago now is still spotless and one of the best gifts ever. The best tool by far is an awesome grabber type tool which is fantastic for picking up screws that manage to fall into places in your case that fingers can never fit :D
I'll try and find a pic or link to one as its something every PC builder should have.

edit:
One of these is what you want:

best tool ever

You can buy "Kits" but I have collected my tools over time.

I use the fallout limited edition lunchbox to keep them in just for something different. Jpod listed a lot of useful stuff not sure there is much to add. A wriststrap might come up in the topic but I've never liked much less needed one but it's your choice.

Compressed air is useful but not essential, although buying some isopropyl alcohol for cleaning would be wise.

I have a screwdriver which has an extendable magnet (very useful) and assorted bits inc. security torx. You will use this more than any other tool so might as well buy a nice one hey ;)
