I just replaced the CPU fan, the two case fans, the Northbridge fan with a heatsink and the power supply. I started it up and the normal startup screen came on then the system just shut down. I have re-booted anumber of times now but I don't even get the bios screen .... any hints?

I have a green light on the mobo .... the fans all work .... the new heatsink on the Northbridge is warm (but not hot), I can hear the HDD's spinning .....but nothing on the screen .....
I even plugged the old fan on the Northbridge back in to see if it was the lack of a fan that was causing the problem .... nope ...

Oh heck .... don't say that .... is there an y way of testing it to see if it's the PSU ?? Like I said all the fans work, I can hear the HDD's, the "C" drive is active according to the blue LED on the front panel ....

Ok here we go:
The monitor worksI just tried it on the second computer. When I first booted it was displaying the normal startup screen prior to going into windows but before I could see if there were any error messages it just went blank.
The system I wired up just like the old PSU and the graphics cards are both powered by a separate IDE cable to the PSU (the new PSU is a Corsair HX 750). The graphics cards are Asus 7800 GTX in sli ..... I have checked and re-checked all cables and plugs and none are loose. I get both dvd drives powering up on startup along with the HDD's and of course the fans are all running ....

uummm ok how do I reset the bios? ... but tomorrow I will start re-connecting the old PSU .... the main lead from the new PSU is hard wired to the PSU itself and I checked the connection of the 20? pin connector and that seems fine ....

right I pulled out the battery and left it for a while then re-booted ... nothing. I unplugged everything accept the C drive and still nothing ... I unplugged all the fans ... nothing. If I unplug the monitor cable from the top video card the display changes to "NO SIGNAL" but if it's plugged in it goes to a black screen ... tomorrow I'll take out the sli cards, swap top to bottom and run a single card to see if that makes a difference ...

OK here is where I stand today. Unplugged from the new PSU and plugged in the old one to the mobo (the big connection and the 4 pin plug), the graphics cards and the C drive .... nothing else. Still no joy. I have swapped around the vid cards and tried single but nothing. .... still the same.
I have never had a "beep" when starting the computer ever in fact I cannot even find a speaker. So a beep is not going to happen. So does this mean that my mobo is knackered? Or the CPU ?
