Computer Not Booting

Hi,

In general my computer runs absolutely fine. The only issue I have is sometimes it wont boot when I press the power button in. Turning it off and back on at the plug normally fixes it.

I have a Corsair AX750 Gold. Is it a problem with the PSU or something else. I'd like to remedy it if possible as it's quite annoying.

Could perhaps look at your motherboard, at the JFP1 connection. Make sure it's all plugged in properly, especially the power switch connection. Or maybe the power button on the case itself, or the cable is faulty. If possible put another PSU in your pc and see if the issue persists. Having had this issue before, it could really be a variety of issues.

And the following guide may be useful (even though it relates to quite basic and easily fixable errors)

I've checked the JFP1 in the past... I accidentally pulled it out the other day install an SSD and I made sure I put it back on firmly. I wasn't sure if it could be a problem with the PSU...

I've had the same behaviour using two identical ax750 unit's & both turned out to be the cause of the issue. The behaviour also got progressively worse with each unit to the point where i had to replace them. I replaced my 2nd one with a superflower psu & had no boot problems ever since.

I believe there have been quite a few who have had this problem with the ax750 unit's. If it doesn't clear up I'd suggest an RMA (it could have course be something else but my experience was that it was the psu at fault).

Thanks guys, didn't see these replies.

Sometimes it fixes itself faster than others. Today I tried unplugging it too many times to count, I reset the CMOS, made sure the board had no charge (unplugged PSU, removed CMOS battery and held power a few times).... still nothing. When it was plugged in I did notice the shift key on my keyboard was lit up at one point... It eventually fixed itself but it's getting rather annoying.

Will have to look at RMAing the AX750.
