Thoughts would be great.

My wife turned the computer on, fans spun up but wouldn't boot, this does occasionally happen, just have to wait until it hits the bios and have to reset the memory xmp settings and then it's fine again for months.

However this time my wife turned it off at the socket and it's not turned on since :( .

Power button on case does nothing, tried the power header pins and again nothing.

Replaced the psu, still nothing.

Tried to power it on with just psu and motherboard, but no power again.

Plugged everything back in, cpu, ram etc and still nothing.

So I feel its the motherboard, but opinions would be great, don't really want to keep chasing a faulty part and b560 boards seem to be really hard to find new/second hand.

Cheers

Or a complete new system, shame really as I had no performance issues.

Maybe 14th gen intel, ddr5, I'll have to see how they compare with AMD. Is there a better socket to go for currently for longevity, ie will receive a few cpu iterations?

Yeah that's what I was thinking, 7600 being a good option.

Going to keep my eye out for a decent B560 board for a week or so as I really wasn't having any issues, nice and fast, just the graphics card needed an update at some point, but there we go, can always sell the ram and cpu for ok money and the board for spares.
