Computer Not Receiving Power?

I guess this is the place to put this as I can't diagnose the problem to know what hardware difficulties I am experiencing.
This morning I went to boot my computer as normal but nothing happened when hitting the power switch.
Checked all cables and everything seems to be fine as far as I'm aware.
Any ways to diagnose specifically what the problem is so it can be sorted out?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does your motherboard have a 'start' or similar button? (I.e. to bypass the case switch) - If so, does that work?

On the face of it, sounds like your PSU has possibly gone down the Kermit.

Yeah it has a power button but upon pressing it nothing happens.

I hope not its only been a few months D: could it also be a motherboard problem or would power still flow in the system in that case?

It just seems so random because everything was perfect a few hours ago.

checked the 3 pin plug fuse at the wall?

any mb lights?

try and list all your components

Socket is fine as I tried using other things in it and they all worked.
Motherboard usually has orange light when powered but nothing happens at all when I try now.

If you've tried a different kettle lead (Power lead) and/or fuse in the existing one, checked it with a different power socket and done a CMOS reset on the mobo (Just in case) then my money is on the PSU.

I've tried all but a new lead. I'll try to sort one out to give it a shot and if that fails I know where my problem lies, thank you for the help :D
