Hi all I'm having a problem regarding my PC not shutting off completely.
I'm running windows 8.1.
The screen and peripherals would shut off fine but the tower itself stays on, ie fans and lights still on.
I've tried changing power options but still no luck.
Just wondering if anyone has other ideas how to solve it.
Thanks

Yeah I can but would rather leave that as the last option as I have just done my cable management the other day :o

It's probably no help at all...but I had such an issue the other week, PC wouldn't shut down properly, both monitors would go off...but the PC itself wouldnt shut down....turned out to be cos I had swapped out mobos ( without reinstalling windows)and had some asus ai suite software still left over got rid of it...issue went away :)

Could be a driver gone rogue and not stopping properly.
Could be the PSU not shutting down as well, you don't have the completely remove your old one, just do a bodge job and plug cables in with the side panel off :)

This - easiest way to test without disrupting everything. My guess though would be a rogue driver or system service - try looking in event viewer for clues. Graphics drivers can also cause this - so maybe re install?

Tried the above with no luck.
Won't even restart itself, had to to it manually.
Going to try a clean install of windows to see if that fixes.
More convenient than swapping psu :o

So how did you get on with the clean install of windows? Hope it solved it for you, but of course you won't really know what caused it in the first place by re installing.

Well, OS reinstall seems to have done the trick but it seems very picky which drivers I have installed.
Although now I have encountered a new problem.
Any game I launch will either crash my PC entirely or do the same in the following video.

It seems that disabling crossfire in CCC solves this, but I dont want to play my games on 1 card.....I bought 2 for a reason :o
