For some reason my computer at home is not starting up. I havnt overclocked it. i'm using 850 watt 670 windforce etc. but like i tried to take out the power plug in and out however nothing is going through and working. I dont have a slightest clue as to why its not working. I do play bf3 a lot and run two monitors both benq xl2420 and ew 2430.

I do hope I have come to the right place as finding the professionals for when the pc isnt working.

Thankyou

What chipset and cpu are you running on?

Edit: Can you be more clear on what is happening when you power on the pc? Perhaps take the sidepanel off the pc case by removing the one(or more) thumb screws at the back. When you power on does your CPU Fan start up for a split second? Do you have any beeps or lights that turn on or off? Also what is your motherboard and does it have Dr Debug?

Is this a recent build? I assume not.

Take out your GPU and hook 1 monitor up to the onboard graphics, does this allow it to then turn on? If not, take out 1 stick of ram and try it in every slot, if this doesn't work then try the other stick.

Another thing to try if neither of the above work would be to re-seat the power front panel connector header. And then maybe remove it and short it with a flat head.

ok im not currently at home so i will try everything out as you said. the top half i understand however the bottom half i havnt got a slightest clue to what you mean. im sorry im just a gamer and i come here to know as much as i can about computers but im not quite yet a know everything guy yet

As Hyburnate has stated above, we need a little bit more information.

No power at all to the computer could be anything from a dead motherboard / PSU to incorrect wiring of the power button to the board or even a plug fuse.

So first things first, we need to establish where the problem originates from. Once we know that an attempt can be made to fix the problem.

Questions I'd like to be answered are; Have you tested the PSU?
Have you tested the motherboard by shorting the power pins?

Once these areas are tested we can look further.

This is a picture of your motherboard, the green box will be where the front panel connectors go in, you should have several cables going into them, if you look down onto the motherboard and look in your manual you should have a picture and names of which one is the Power Button, on my motherboard its called "pwnbtn" there will be 2 pins. The cable that goes on to them and sits on them you will want to re-seat.

Before testing the PSU listen to the machine when you turn it on. Are the fans in the PSU spinning? Does the fan on the CPU heatsink spin?

A computer 'not turning on' is a very different problem to a computer 'not outputting a display'

when i tested the computer this morning none of the fans are working however the qpad 85 keyboard backlight works so this must mean that power is still working however not turning on the computer

Ok, this points to a dead power supply, or possibly motherboard. My money is on the PSU.

The fact that it is powering your keyboard backlight via USB doesn't prove that the PSU is fully working. The fact that no fans are turning says PSU or motherboard

for some strange reason the hdmi onboard isnt working but the graphics hdmi is. Im not too sure why do you have any reasons as to why it isnt working?

ok so I have tested the gpu and have one of the fans going however there seems to be a clicking sound every second. any advice. te I have tried removing the graphics card and single monitor but still nothing and have tried taking out the ram and doing what you said but nothing has changed
