Afternoon all,

Wondering if anyone has seen something like this before, When my machine goes to sleep weather it be me putting it in that state or after time it puts itself there when I click the mouse to power it back up I am having issues.

Sometimes it is fine, no issues what so ever
Other times it will spin the fans, lights and everything else up for 1 maybe 2 seconds then stop....then try again.....then stop this goes on until I take the power out the back, press the power button and then replace the power cable.

After that I can power it back on fine and it has no issues.

Has anyone seen this before? Could it be the CMOS? The power supply?

Any insight most welcome!

Alex/DiCe!

Bumpety, anyone?

Starting to get on my nerves now, hoping someone has had this before as I dont want to play guess the problem and replace the wrong part.

Thanks!

Power supply - Coolermaster Real Power 1000w Modular Power Supply
Mobo - Asus P7P55D-E Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
CPU - Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz (Lynnfield) (Socket LGA1156)
RAM - Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9)

Cant believe I didn't do that, I am out of practice!
It is a recent thing, started when I was on windows 7, I ahve since gone windows 8 and the problem remains, nothing has changed as such to make it suddenly happen.

IF it had just been on windows 8 i would said it was psu there has been compatability issue with sleep and older psus but since its was on windows 7 also im not sure

Im now double thinking was it on win 7.....fairly certain it was.....PSU is getting on a bit now though, and it is very loud, might consider replacing it with a newer quieter one.
