Hi there i was wondering if someone could help me.

I turned my computer on this morning and it powers up, but it doesnt bleep and nothing comes on the monitor.

The fans arnt working on the motherboard and the cpu but the leds on the motherboard are lighting up.

Does anyone know what is wrong and if i can fix it how will i.

Hope someone can help me

Thank You

Hang on, don't the LED's lighting up usually refer to a way of saying somethings borken, or am I being a n00b like usual?

Does sound like a PSU problem though.

erm here are some of the specs

dfi infinity nf4 (939)
amd 64 3200+

as for the psu it came with the case, so it probs aint a very good one

i'd strip your system down, unplug all the un needing stuff and try and make it run then, make sure you check all the PSUs connectors and check everything else is in properly.

i'd say it was the PSU, the ones that come with cases are usually naff

nah the leds are usually on, i try striping it down like u said.

but would the pc power on if it was psu related, cos everything lights up just it doesnt beep, the fans arnt working and the moniter stays in standby

yup, PSU can be just on the way out, its pretty annoying and this kind of problem is common to me :(

yep, sounds like somthing similar to what my PSU has started doing since last night  stupid waste of money on an antec trupower PSU which dosn't even last a year, and i can't RMA it cos i don't have proof of purchase (lost)

and i just invested in a x1900xt, might have to wait a while to use it if my PSU isn't going to be stable enough :(

needless to say it was the first and last thing i will be buying from Antec ;)
