Win 7 performance (rate 1 to 7.9). I get these:

Processor - 7.5
Memory - 7.6
Graphics - 7.2
Gaming Graphics - 7.2
HDD (old 2.5" laptop HDD) - 4.3 !!

I have an SSD or order - what would I expect from that?

Anybody run this with an i7 SSD system?

Mel

I have a GV-R485MC-1Gl - at default settings (4850 with passive cooler runnig at about 50C). Should I overclock this to boost my graphics score?

Last time I fiddled with it the screen went haywire as I have no idea how to overclock a graphics card!

And advice please?

Thanks, Mel

If you're overclocking just to boost the rating score I wouldn't bother. The screen going haywire is a symptom of pushing too far. There is not much point of having a score of 7.9 and the system be unstable - kinda defeats the object in my opinion.

On the flip side, if you're trying to get a better score just for kicks, there are much more comprehensive benchmarking tools out there.

The SSD will make a huge difference and will round out your system nicely. I'm assuming the 2.5" drive is running at 5400 rpm so this is slower than a conventional desktop hard disk and the reason why the score is a bit naff (although 4.3 isn't really that bad tbh.)
