Hi.
For the last few months, my computer has been playing silly buggers. Very randomly and without warning, it'll completely lock up and require resetting. I'll be informed that Windows wasn't shut down correctly but other than that, it's as if nothing happened. No crash log and nothing in the Action Centre.
I think (?) I've isolated it down to either the PSU or the memory. I've ran the memory through memtest 86 and it didn't return any faults, but it wasn't a particularly long test (couple of hours tops).
Does this sound like a PSU problem and is there anyway to test the PSU that doesn't require buying a new one and just switching them? The computer will sometimes run for three to four days without a problem, and then freeze four times in ten minutes. It doesn't seem to be related to heat (will happen on Windows log in first thing in the morning when the comp is cold) and I'm really at a loss as to what is happening.
PSU is as sig, a 700w CoolerMaster Silent Pro.
Thanks for any help!
