I have a strange issue with my PC where some time after I overclock the CPU, the computer will fail to boot. When I press the power button, the lights and fans come on, then immediately go off. This on, off sequence repeats until I turn the power off.

Sometimes it happens immediately after an overclock and sometimes a day or so later. Everything seemed stable in Prime95 (only tested for one hour) and temps never exceed about 70c.

I fixed it a couple of times before by removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes which reset everything to default.

I am going to run the CPU at stock speed for a while to see if it happens again.

If anybody has any ideas what could be causing this, I would be very grateful?

My specs are in sig below and I used settings from this thread: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18338090&highlight=2500k

Some settings will be incompatible, usually not enough voltage pumping through something. I had this issue when messing with the PLL voltage on my 3570k, going under v1.5 and it wouldn't boot.
