My favourite:

Take a screenshot of the desktop
Invert the image with any image editing program
Hide all icons from the actual desktop
Use the inverted image as a wallpaper
Invert the graphics card input to the monitor.

Guess what happens next

Think it will make it more realistic this way. Change tracking options so that mouse moves correctly but clicking on icons doesn't do anything.

I think ones that work intermittently are the best ones. Selotape on the mouse sensor for one day. Remove it the other day etc.

They wake already at 7am as all are work PC's. Had thought of making them shut down at 16:45 and see how many would bother to switch their PC back on instead of going home but it could be dangerously counterproductive.

, oh and of course I changed the icon to match the internet explorer one.
