Hello all, recently got my new build in the post and im having a few issues. I'll start with a run down of specs:
Asus p6x58d-e mobo
6gb of corsair 1600mhz ram
GTX 480
I7 950
Now, I installed everything correctly, turned the pc on and got no signal. I could see the DRAM light was on. I could also hear a high pitched whine. So re-sank the ram, held down the button e.t.c, still nothing. I swapped the gfx card out for my GTS 8800 and the whine stopped, but still no output. Everything seems to be running, yet this DRAM light is on and no output.
Now I have two questions. Any ideas why it won't boot, do I need to return my mobo? Is it a RAM issue?
Second question is about the card. I think it may have been the PSU whining due to the card, but swapping the cards solved the problem. Does it sound like a card issue or the PSU?
Any help would be great as I'm a bit stumped atm! Thanks!
