CUBS!
Hi Guys,

I'm in desperate help and would really appreciate it if you guys could help me out here.

My computer randomly starts looping sound and my monitor turns off for some reason, mainly when playing games or music. I have no idea what's causing this crash. Compute specs below, if need more info, let me know.

Computer Specs:

Operating Software: Windows 7 Professional
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU 550 @ 3.20GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte H55M-UD2H
RAM: Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
Graphics Card: Sapphire HD 7870 GHz Edition 2048MB GDDR5
PSU: OCZ ZT 550W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply
Sound card: Asus Xonar D2X 7.1 PCI-E Sound Card

Example Video of crash:

I only recently installed the sound card as I was hoping it may have been the onboard sound but it appears it's not.

Would be grateful if someone could assist me in resolving this problem, it's been occurring for months and I've just got fed up of it.

Cheers.

The graphics was recently replace too but that didn't really help either.

I've never used memtest so will look at doing it now.

It was all pre-configured as I bought it from Overclockers.

The CPU I think was overclocked, I can't remember lol.

I had to replace a OCZ Stealthxtream 2 500W PSU just before I replaced my GTS 450, the PSU was sparking and giving off a burning smell, perhaps it short circuited the motherboard?

I also use Truecrypt to encrypt my whole drive but I highly doubt this is the issue.

My internal HDD is a WD Caviar Blue 500GB SATA and I use 2 external hard drives. One WD My Passport 500GB USB 3.0 hard drive and a caddy to use 3.5 internal HDD.

Which memtest software should I be using, I see quite a few?

how much dram and qpi/vtt voltage are you using? youll need a big bump in qpi/vtt with 16gb

99% sure its memory related qpi/vtt too low

I have no idea, I'm a noob at this, would you mind going over this with me?

Lots of things in this have been replaced, 8GB Kingston HyperX Blu were replaced with 16GB mentioned above. I have no idea if he reset the RAM in BIOS.

Sorry, just to confirm, if I change CPU clock drive to 800, will I need to change anything?

I can enable XMP to "profile1", do I leave the settings to the default?

OCUK overclocked it, I bought one of the systems back in Aug 2011

Edit: qpi/vtt was set to 1.310v not 1.315 as that was not available.
