EVGA 1000w Power supply

Asus Strix X670E-E Gaming Wifi Motherboard Cmos battery has also been replaced.

48 Gb GSkill Trident Z5 TZ5NRW memory with ram cooler. Memory is rated at 6400 but I have been running it at 6000 with tighter timings.

RTX 3090 Graphics

AMD 7800 X3D Watercooled with 2 x 360 radiators. CPU is and has not been overclocked.

G502X Mouse. G15 keyboard.

All has been operating OK since build over a year ago.

Problems.

Computer will randomly crash as in just as if the power cord was pulled. No warnings nothing in event manager other than informing that previously did not shutdown correctly.

No Whea errors in event manager.

HWInfo 64 was logging and nothing looks out of place. Everything looks steady with no visible sudden changes on any readouts to give a clue.

I can run a TM5 1Usmusv3 with no errors recorded.

Crashes still occur if I run with any 1 of the memory sticks installed. It makes no difference if I run the memory overclocked or standard.

These crashes are totally random and may be days apart. However they can also closely follow each other.

A few examples.

Computer crashes and will normally auto restart within seconds but not pass the bios forcing me to go into the bios and have to reset all the values as they have all reverted to auto. Almost as if the bios reset button had been pressed while the computer was running.

Sometimes on restart after crashing it will stop at bios code 99 super IO failure. I have to pull power cord and reset bios to get past this.

I have unplugged all USB devices apart from keyboard and mouse and it can still crash. All hard drives have been checked with no errors with CrystalDiskInfo.

It has also crashed and while I was in the bios entering values it has even crashed again while I am in the Bios. So it is certainly not windows related.

Just crashed while I was typing this into word, so plenty of saves going on.

Motherboard has been flashed to latest Bios.

Power supply has been replaced with an Antec 1200w no difference crashes continue.

Graphics card has been replaced with an RTX 5080 sorry but that 5090 is just ridiculously priced.

No difference to crashing but I wanted to upgrade that anyway so apart from a diminished bank balance that was as expected.

It has now crashed twice while I type this. And then tomorrow it will probably run fine even gaming for 4 or 5 hours without issue.

It may be nothing but 3 times now it has crashed when in a game and I pressed RMB has also happened pressing LMB and just now as I moved the mouse while typing in Word. Are these actions stressing something and causing a crash? But that is only 3 times and as these has been going on for weeks it has crashed many more times than that even while I have been AFK.

These problems are so intermittent and random that tbh for the first time ever rather than helping other people with their issues I am having to ask others if they have experienced the same.

Of course the remaining items to replace would seem to be potentially memory although my testing has almost convinced me that is good and of course current pricing is horrific.

Motherboard then the issue would be what to replace it with bearing in mind I am running 3 M2 drives.

Cpu argh would rather hang on until next release tbh. It would hurt to replace with current gen.

In fact as I am now a pensioner the thought of having to replace everything on a guess is really going to hurt.

All suggestions welcome (OK all serious suggestions)

Not tried removing the M2s.
Power lead has been changed with the PS and it plugs into the wall socket.

It has crashed from windows and while i have been in the bios after applying default values then entering my preferred values it has crashed again while I am in the bios yes. It may have been 15 to 30 mins in bios as i did get interrupted.
