any reason why this may happen

i7 930 w/ stock cooler.
2gb ram (had to remove 1 2gb as it had failed or was not allowing computer to boot, not sure if it is the other 2gb causing the problem, running a memtest as we speak)
win7 ult 32bit
800w Corsair GS PSU
560ti asus gfx card.

in addition to this when it shuts-down and trys to restart it cannot boot and a red light appears at the front of the case.(this happends only sometimes)

that could possibly rule out the psu as my performance during the game play that i get at high settings is impeccable, it just all of a sudden turns off after 3-5mins i can run games on lowish to medium but when hit it up to high or ultra bang thats when it turns off after 5mins or so.

any who ive been needing to upgrade the cpu cooler and ram anyway so thats what im gonna do first of all (Also gonna tidy the wiring within the case just to make sure its nothing like that)

event log says this.
Source : Kernel-Power
Event ID : 41
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

dunno if this will help you guys diagnose the problem but here it is.
