Computer randomly shuts down

Hi Guys
I turned on my computer and it shut its self off about 11 since then before I got to sign into windows,any idea what the problem could be?any advice on what I should do?

Any help appreciated

Full system specs? Might be overheating, have you tried opening it up and dusting around the heatsinks?

Q9330 quad core
4 gigs ram
windows vista

No I haven't tryed that,what would you recommend I use to do that?

Ideally with anti-static compressed air, but if that's not an option then maybe a paper towel, but be very careful when doing this.

It'll have to be a paper towel

so just dust around the power supply,mother board,graphics card area?

The main thing you want to dust is the CPU heatsink. This could be where the major dust build is. Cleaning the GPU heatsink might help too.

What PSU you got? google the paper clip test to see if PSU has died.
