Hi all,

I have built my first ever computer recently (specs below) and I have a bit of an issue with it.

I do not usually put it in sleep mode, but I have done it a few times with this computer (less than 5 times) and a couple of these times it has randomly woken up from sleep mode.

It wakes up when you move the mouse but this could not be that case as one time when it happened nobody (not even me) was in the room, and the other time the mouse was switched off so something else is causing it.

I have just tried typing in powercfg -lastwake in command prompt and I understand how that works, so next time it happens I will try that and see what it says the cause of wake was.

But in the meantime, does anyone know what might be causing this?

My computer:
- Intel Core i5 2500K 3.30 GHz Sandybridge
- Asus P8Z68-VLX
- Samsung Spin Point F3 1TB
- Gelid Tranquillo
- Corsair Vengeance Low Profile, Blue, 8GB
- OCZ Agility 3 120GB
- Samsung SH-B123L Blu Ray Drive
- Coolermaster Elite 430
- Antec TruePower New 550W Modular
- Akasa Bluetooth Card Reader

Right click my computer and click properties. Select Device manager. click the network tab and again select properties. Make sure wake from LAN is switched off.

Also under all tabs make sure mouse/keyboard are also switched off from waking computer.

also disable the lan from mobo in the bios from waking the computer.

Right,

I have disabled wake from LAN in device manager

I will do the one in the BIOS soon, I will let you know if I have any problems finding that option

But I cannot find the option you said about disabling keyboard and mouse from waking computer. Where is that option?

Thanks :)
